New Member with a 1998 Civic EX Brokeback

Greetings! I have been on this forum a lot and finally decided to join as a member. I have several cars, each one driven solely for the intended purpose that it was designed for, but my primary driver is/was a 1998 Civic EX, five speed. Using only the driving techniques I have read about on this and other forums I am able to get about 48 MPG from this car, with no modifications. I commute 25 miles each way to work, to save even more gas and to reduce miles driven my wife and I commute together. The week before Christmas my precious, unmodified, not-rusty, very well maintained Civic was hit in the back by a plow truck driving in reverse while parked in my employer's parking lot. The car now looks like a CRX. I negotiated $3400 from the jerk who wrecked it, and got to keep the car, which aside from being 20 inches shorter than it used to be still runs and drives great. My plans now are to find a CX or VX hatch to replace the EX, and do a streamline modification to the EX now that it is crushed. I will be reading up on similar modifications, wheel skirts, tailsections, LED lighting, VX wheels, etc. Look for future posts documenting progress on this project. I am also looking for a CRX HF, Civic CX or VX if anyone knows where I can find one that doesn't start off with B16A2 conversion in the first sentence.

Welcome aboard and great way to turn a bad incident into a potentially great thread on EM!
