I just signed up looking at ideas to improve the mileage on my 97 buick lesabre.

Welcome to the site. It looks like you have a rough commute as you're below EPA rating. We'll help ya fix that.

Most of my driving is at 40-50mph with traffic lights. I drive 22 miles each way to work. I try to keep the rpms under 2K and get to a speed that the car with lockup in OD.

Also this mileage is with the AC cranking on max. I have seen 24mpg with just me driving and no ac.

Planning to buy a scanguage. I am sure that some improvements to the car can be made also.
