Another update.

The boards should be here any day now!

I have ordered all the parts and those should be here Saturday. Hopefully I can send everything out early next week!

As for control boards, I have been working on the design changes and it is almost ready. I just have to test 3 more features to make sure the hardware is good then we can get some orders going!

That-s it for now.

Alright! Boards came in last Thursday and all kits shipped on Friday!

You should be seeing them any day now.

I am currently putting together an assembly guide with detailed pictures and instructions. This will be done in the next few days.

Yup, got mine and it looks very nice. And coincidentally I was going to ask if you had a schematic or something else to aid in assembly/integration.

Thanks!

Waiting for the control board...

Here is the Schematic for the driver board Rev 1.3.

One thing I noticed on the ones of these that are purple is this board house has thicker plating then older versions. This means the diodes do not fit in the holes nicely. It takes either drilling (not recommended) the holes where the diodes go, or my preferred method of just hitting the leads a bit with some emery paper to thin them down.

Assembly Guide should be done this week.

Driver board 2/3

Do you still have a supply of driver boards?
Do you think it would cause any problems cutting down the board for 2 IGBTs instead of 3. Planning 2x2.
Thanks in advance.

Hey Guys,

Sorry for the late reply, I was not getting emails of new replays.

I do not current have any boards. The last run of them paid for the building of the 10. If I get enough orders for another 10, I can build more. I do not currently have the money to front buying the stuff for them.

Great thread. I am building a bike and a classic mini.
Both are being made electric.
I am doing the conversion myself and searching for an AC controller. I have bought the DC controller from Paul. I want to use that either in the bike or the car, but probably use the DC brushed motor on the bike.
I want to use the AC controller on the mini.
What input voltages are you designing for?
Thanks for an excellent thread.

The 1000A controller *SHOULD* be able to take 400V bus but it has never been tested that high. The UAF snowmobile has been running great at 240V nominal.
