i just bought and installed a clear Zero Gravity sport-touring windscreen on my 09 ninja 250R. i will let you guys know in a couple of days whether or not it actually helps my mileage or not. i know it has definately knocked the wind buffeting down by atleast 50%. i cant get pics to upload, so you guys can check out the vid i made of it at my youtube link at the bottom of my post.
I have a 2004 Ninja 250 and made my own windshield. When I made it I didn't have FE in mind. I wanted wind protection at interstate speeds. I can get between 60 and 70 MPG, depending on my mood. The only mod I did for mileage was the gearing. It's a little slower off the line but when you are aiming for FE that is what you want.
