you guys are great

First, thanks for all of the suggestions--I'll be trying as many as possible(or needed) this weekend. I've been driving the car all week and the lite has been on. Aside from the stumble when the car is almost at operating temp. it has been asymptomatic.

Until today. I started it up and the light didn't come on. I drove about 10 miles, and while driving a steady 40 mph on relatively flat road it came back on

There, once again, were no other symptoms. Does this give anyone a better diagnostic clue? -Ed

It's a 97, I'd think both would be 4 wires narrow band.

Ditto....mine was setting a code on the drivers side manifold and when I swapped that sensor with the post cat sensor, the code followed the bad sensor and truck started running normal again. Like yours, mine was only a few months old.

Good luck!!

Bosch O2 sensors aren't known for playing nicely with GMs and Hyundais. Could be you need a different brand of oxygen sensor for that Mazda, even though it's not a GM or Hyundai.
