Odd... NEV? Solar powered chariot

I found this today and had to share. The owner claims that it is just as efficient as a wheeled setup which I don't believe at all. It is still an interseting machine though. It also looks like he has a sweet little electric trike.

I find it hard to believe too.

ALSO: the mechanism is based on the wheel. The motor output is a shaft after all

And in a couple of shots you can see a gear (wheel!) in the "hip" area working the legs.

It is pretty cool though. And his modded Corbin Sparrow? Wide track Pontiac!
