Oh the Aero-manity!!! Destruction of Aptera bodies

Displaced anger on those beautiful bodies. The blame goes around for the greed and lost vision for the once-worshiped Aptera design. So much for saving the few survivors for posterity.

Were these people, ordered to destroy the bodies, sent by the creditors/investors ?

Truly sad.

It looks more like early preliminary (crude)crash testing.

Even if these guys were put in charge of disposing of these, I would have to imagine that at least one of them would say "wait a second! some sucker will buy this and we can buy more beer!" only vandals destroy stuff stored in a ware house and stupid vandals at that and higher ups who want things destroyed tend to make sure it's done right, not in the loading dock with a fork lift.

Well... execs want to make us think the crushing is thorough... but remember all the awesome GM showcars from the '50s and around that time? They were supposed to be destroyed, and many were sent to a certain scrapyard, thought never to be seen again... many of them are now being resurrected!

Heck, I recently saw prototype snowmobiles at a show THAT I BUILT and thought were destroyed!!! How weird is that? (If anyone should have been able to abscond with them it shoulda been ME!)

Seeing those bodies from all those different angles should make them easier to replicate tho.

(I picture one of them pulled over a cheap chinese three wheeler moped car)

I vaguely remember reading somewhere that this was done months ago, these were early prototypes that weren't of any use to the company anymore and they had to be crushed for legal reasons or something. It wasn't sabotage, and I don't think Aptera expected to go under at the time either.
