This is tempting. It's less than a half tank of gas round-trip for me. However, I won't commit to anything just yet.
...even though I don't have a Metro.

It's not for just Metro people, but all members of this board. I even posted this on TeamSwift and got no replies yet, but maybe a few of here who visit there can get the thread rolling and maybe spark some interest. Of course, the majority of those guys are into performance mods, but even then they still get great fuel mileage.
If any of you are staying the night before the meet, you could always go to the Drive-In theater and catch 2 movies! It's like $6.00 per person to get in and the Drive-In was recently remodeled. Just make sure you get a keycard from wherever you are camping so you can get back in

I haven't been to a drive in since they closed down the last one in Richmond
That was 1979,
Sounds like fun.
A slow parade of cars to and fro.

I'm thinking I shoudn't have said Geopalooza, now it is catching on. The drive in would be cool, there is one here by my house still about 40 miles away, but under 2 gallons there and back so not bad.

I'm a bit of a drive away, and don't even have a sub compact, but I think I'm going to make this. Sounds like fun.

This may get bigger than I expected, so this could be interesting especially since September 14th is still 6 weeks away. I wish I had a load of Ecomodder.com stickers to give out or something, butI am sure we will still have a fun gathering.
For those staying the night before and catching a movie, I will be there at the Andover Drive-In on RT7 so look for my car there. It should be easy to spot since there are hardly any Metro cars in my area. I have a couple friends coming also. One has a Honda Civic and the other has a 1969 AMC Ambassador SST wagon (It's for sale I think, but too big for me).

Hmmmmmmmm.
I could just drop a line at Erie and Youngstown news stations and see what happens? What's better than a whole group of us in one place for a news story about modified cars saving fuel?

I'm in Also bringing the wife (unless something unforseen comes up).
I made reservations at site #24 in the Ohio Park Campground for 9/13 and 9/14.
This is right across from Ricks site (#19). Don't know yet if we will stay Sunday night, but you need to book a two night minimum if reservations overlap a Friday or Saturday.
Should be a good time!
We should get a thread going for what people are bringing...soda, chips, rolls, ice, meat, etc.
