Aww, man. If I'd known you were gonna have a stone-skipping contest...
Thanks for sharing the pics and videos, guys!
If it's on a Saturday next year, I'm there.
Could someone indicate who's who in the group shot?

It will be on a Saturday next year and I will do it in late July so we can go to the Drive-In.
Thanks for those pics and vids Geneva Dirt!
You know, I feel bad since I cannot remember the names of the Festiva guys and they were such great company.

I looked through the garage for Festiva's. Does bhazard, LS1_SE7EN, LonAllen, needarealname, econoaddict, or Gotrootdude ring a bell?

Nope GenevaDirt didn't have his had to drive a rental so he filmed us. And bhazards festiva is red, no red ones there. Xfi knew them he should key in.

The Festy guy on the left is John (Pu241 and the one on the right is Brian (25Horseplay) he is also the owner of fordfestiva.com.
About my Festy not being there....I am a little miffed about that....I have been renting a car because I was fed some misinformation by an insurance company. I was in an accident with it a couple months back and the other persons insurance required me to get a salvage title in order to pay off....and proceeded to tell me that I would have to get it inspected and turned back to a regular title before I could drive it. Well that was not going to be till the 22nd of this month and I was 3 days into paying for that rental myself. Well after talking to one of the guys at the meet that said he was from Michigan and that he drove a car that had a salvage title without problem. Well on the way back from the meet I called my insurance company and found out that I could drive it no problem so long as I had a mechanic sign off on it as being safe. They gave me 14 days to get the form in the mail and then return it back to them....in the meantime I was still able to drive the Festy. So I was a little mad....got over it and took the rental back the next day and went back to my Festy.....ahhhhhhhhhh. LOL

Geneva,
Yeah, that was me you talked to about salvage titles...I'm glad to hear you got the answer you were looking for. My daughter's '97 Metro has a salvage title...I think it is to inform any future owner of said car that it has been involved in some kind of accident and then repaired. The title is orange, rather than the standard green(Michigan)
So with your Festy scheduled to attend Johnny Mullet's 2009 Gathering, who's gonna take all the cool videos of our rides? Thanks for doing that by the way, it is much appreciated!!!
CoyoteX,
Hey bud, glad to hear you arrived home safely. Thanks again for your hospitality, allowing my brother and I to camp with you and S....say hello to her for me.

Got a question, as I see the gear swap being done in 5speed saturns (10percent improvemnt with the longer legs) why should
i have to swap an entire tranny out of my sons 96 metro to get the legs that the trans in my Xfi has

The Metro doesn't have a higher fifth gear just a higher final drive, you would have to totally tear down tranny to accomplish this. Swapping is easier.
