Old school mpg meter Popular mechanics writeup

Appears to combine fuel flow rate and engine vacuum, might be useful data for carbed engine folks. Probably not able to find one, but useful info for someone to build their own. Only current carb option I know is a marine application gps with fuel flow meater attachment for 599 total.

...I had one of those "Flo-Scan" meters on my 1970 Plymouth AAR 'Cuda 340/6BBL back during the OPEC Oil Embargo...it worked "sorta"...lots of problems with vapor locking & bubbles in their sensor...of course, 110-115ºF temperatures in Yuma, AZ, didn't help.
