Many retailers sell sets of diversely shaped supermagnets. This is just one example.
I like the Mr. Macho man set of magnets - and the additional set of warning labels in 6 languages which inform that injuries caused by playing with these magnets are both common and your own responsibility!

My setup was a store bought ski rack. It did have a lever to forcefully pry the center section off so the rack could be removed.

I have various magnets but these should be tested for each application. I bought some magnets from dx.com and aliexpress.com

Haha! Where have I been, too! Missed the end of the neodymium magnets subtopic.

Bump for this thread, somehow I missed it the first time around but I have seen that car before.

Fantastic work, awesome vacation photos.

One of the better kammbacks ever built by an EM member. Wonder what's up with it now? Do old mods ever die, or do they just fade away?

Should be good now! I have decided that I won't paint it, but maybe put on some graphics.

Thanks for putting me on the homepage, really pleased with that!

What's the Permalink # of the post? It's similar to another aluminum Kammback that had a 4-bar linkage, I'd like to compare the dates.

In both cases the decklid and Kammback are the bars.

It was post #39: https://ecomodder.com/forum/showthre...tml#post438113

I believe MetroMPG, early in this thread, showed him a previous kammback that moved with the trunk when it opened. I think this is in imitation of that build.

I went looking for that other example and wound up here: 09-22-2011, 10:20 AM #7 (permalink)

I like that style of fender skirt.

I remember that one now, too. I loved it 10 years ago and still do. I kinda imitated those wheel well skirts when I made mine. One cool thing this guy did was try to integrate body contours and distinction lines into the skirts... That "kamm" could be all unpainted lexan for more driver visibility. I wonder how it is attached.
