Page loads hanging up for anyone else?

Oh yeah, BIG TIME.

I even switched to my backup computer, thinking primary comp has issues? Same B.S. on my backup.

My workaround: let it load for a while, hit "work offline" then hit "work offline" again.

It isn't just this site. Other sites and my email froze up too.

Was beginning to wonder if IE7 is getting phased out?

No, IE7 is still going big time. Everything has been hanging up for me too and traffic seems a little slow today so I though maybe EM was having issues I didn't know about...

Well at least now I know it isn't my computer.

Well, it still might have issues...

When it freezes I'll look at my connection to see if data is transferring. When it isn't, hitting refresh, or even trying to log in to the home page does nothing- stays frozen. But then, eventually, it will let me check out different sites...?

It used be a major problem for me, but in the last few months or so, it is not near the problem it was, but is still existent. Nothing has changed setup wise so I would have to think something was improved in the site. Computer didn't matter, same issue whether at home on a slow computer with 28.8 max dialup, or at work on a fast computer with a T1 connection. A lot of times I'd just have to say forget it and try again later.

IE6 on both computers. They told us absolutely do not install IE7, security hole issue or something.

Some other sites have the same problem, so I just don't go to those. But I like this site enough to where it is worth the page load problems.

The current issue seems to have been one of the advertisers, so I just disabled it and yay...back to normal.

Page load optimization, is, however, always a bane in the webmaster's life.
