finally under electric power!
Well, it took tons of research, hours of building, and a lot of sweat, but I finally have my Metro under electric power! It doesn't quite have the range or speed I was hoping for, but......

What's not funny about that picture:
Those stupid things really do have enough torque to pull a small car at low speeds.

So I finally sold part of the ICE components: the fuel pump, for $40. Ironically, that is exactly what I paid for the contactor yesterday. I dunno, sounds like an SAT question: Fuel pump is to ICE as a contactor is to......
I've already told several people that I am driving it to school on Monday after Fall Break. Now I'm commited. Or should be commited. Anyway, I had a finish date of 10/10, so I'm already behind.....

How about a tentative finish date of 10/10/10?

My life is going to the crapper
Good things come out of toilets. It's city garbage day this Saturday, so I was emptying my shed. Under a bunch of stuff was a cracked toilet tank with a TPS in it! I'll use it in my car....

I think it's a toilet positioning system, so you can keep track of it. If you remove it, you risk losing your toilet.

I think I already forgot where I put it....
Paul, I wanted to ask you about your pre-charge resistors. You have 4 in parallel for 2.5 ohms and 40W? I'm guessing that at 40W it's plenty compared to the 620 ohm 10W Curtis recommends? Or was that set of resistors for something else??
And on a complete change of topic....I'm in love with my cable. Isn't it pretty? $17.58 for 10 feet and they even gave me an extra 3 ft!! But my contactor won't be in until (I hope anyway ) Saturday....
