Personal best on your latest fill-up? Post it here!

Way back in 2006 I started a thread like this on Gassavers...

If you've just recorded a personal best fill-up, share it here - along with how the heck you did it.

Off the top of my head I can think of a bunch of members who are climbing the ladder. Let us know if you're one of them!

I recently got a best ever 42 mpg with the Tracer, right after installing the various front end blocks. But since then it's gotten about 38 so that 42 must have been due to that nice tail wind.

I filled up tuesday and got 88mpg. its my personal best. the way I did this is 100% p&g eoc
trying to coast to a stop at every red light and stop and 40-60mph p&g on hyw

I just got a PB of 56 mpg on my last fill up.

I did this on my test loop 45 mph with no stop signs and only a couple stops while testing running light load lean burn around 28:1 A/F.

My plans are to try one more tank full at light load then I will bring in my Hypermiling skills to see if I can pass 60 mpg.

How I got here is a long story and the details can be found here.

my PB was last week, 57 mpg. eoc, grille block, UG and watching inst readings.

My last two tanks were my best ever @ 34mpg. Lots of engine-on-coasting and hwy miles at around 60mph. I haven't tracked my mileage for a year or two, but my best tank, previously, was ~32mpg.

One tank ago I for the first time passed the 50 MPG mark. Actually it was 54.11 MPG.
Very warm wheather, slow driving on small roads + some coasting. It was on our vacation. Now its back to small trips, and autumn has set in....:(

I Finally installed my kill switch, so lots of eoc 65-55-65mph highway driving. I installed full upper grill block. Just did my personal best at 27.04mpg.

I'm planning on completely removing my side mirrors and doing a full under belly tray. 30mpg is within reach!

However, #gameofthrones....winter is coming.

Festiva = 595.5miles on 8.132 gallons = 73.48mpg(US)
Ram = 774.9miles on 24.368 gallons = 31.8mpg(US)

I've really been getting my best tanks since my test trip in which I achieved 94+mpg. I learned allot on this trip along with following overall average speeds of guys like Diesel_Dave. With my car not being very Aerodynamic (guessing .28-.3) lower speed P&G is my friend.

I mainly do P&G 45-35 (40-30 or 25 when I have time/traffic permitting). Avoiding highways when it's reasonable, and careful route planning to avoid areas with more stops/traffic. I'm getting to know the back road routes quite well around here which is aiding allot in my optimizing P&G timing.

In the 05 Subaru Legacy GT, 34.77 mpg for 538 miles.
In the 02 Nissan Xterra, 21.1 mpg for 352 miles.
