Sleek New Peugeot HX1 Concept Unveiled

. . . a feature known as ‘flaps‘, which deploy at varying speeds to improve the efficiency of the vehicle. Another nifty little feature that the Peugeot HX1 employs is where the seven ‘spokes‘ of each rim open up to form a flat disc surface during speeds in excess of 62 mph in an effort to improve performance.

The Peugeot HX1 Concept will be powered by Peugeot’s HYbrid4 technology that will also be seen in the upcoming Peugeot 508 RXH next year. The 2.4-L HDI diesel engine can generate up to 204 hp to power the front wheels, while an electric motor powers the rear wheels of the HX1 Concept. Peugeot claims that the combined power output of the Peugeot HX1 will be 299 hp, while attaining fuel efficiency numbers of 88.2 mpg. . . .
