Next time you are at Lowes, go to the garden department and look at the boxes the products are in.
Nearly everything is coroplast .
If you ask nicely and come at the right time ( as the product sells out ) you can get the stuff free.

It all goes in the dumpster.

Another option is to go to stores and look at their signs for sales.
Nearly every stand up sign is made from coroplast.

I got several of them free. I noted the day that the sale was ending and picked them up early before they went in the dumpster.

I have several sheets around 3' x 5' , and some even larger.

I would make sure the signs are away from high heat, since I'm not sure of the fire resistance of the ink on the coroplast.

yard sale score!

Went to some yard sales with the girlfriend yesterday and made a few great finds! I got a 40 ft roll of garden edging for $2 and a (approx.) 3'x8' piece of plastic, not sure what type or what it was ever used for, for $1. Also got a great pipe cleaning brush, new, for 50 cents that I'll use to clean intake manifold soon.
Anyway, looks like its time to get my grill blocks and wheel skirts started I'll use the edging to get my front and rear bumper down to the appropriate height in prep for a full belly pan.

The Oregon primaries (and presumably others) are tomorrow--after which there will be coroplast aplenty, if you don't mind political messages printed on one side. Ask folks on election day if you can take their signs the day following, thus saving them the hassle of cleaning up after themselves.

well the plastic sheet that i got for $2 is a little flimsy, even with aluminum flat bar stock the top of my wheel skirts flex in (especially with wind resistance) it just so happens that i have a few plastic arrows laying around. im gonna try reinforcing it with those. if i cant really make it work then i figure a coat hanger or two should work just fine.
