A bargain for a road-worthy car.

I have my reservations about the 1.9D (I assume it's SDI?) engine in day to day use. It's a very thrifty engine and incredibly simple (as all non-Turbo diesels are) but I don't think it'll be particularly drivable on the motorway with such little power.

I'm currently getting ~67 MPG(UK) out of my Fabia 1.9 TDi, but I'll be interested to see what you get from this.

Pictures from Scotland with no sheep? What's the problem here?...lol.

I like these little cars...wish we had them over here on this side of the ocean.

Nicely done. Can't wait to see the mods.

Have arrived a Crewe-mild stste of disrepair..

Also flagrant false advertising by the train operator!

Safely ensconsed hame now

Here's the rest of the pics:

Arriving at Holmes Chapel to collect the car

An unusual bus and something most of you folk will recognise!

Waiting for the car to cool enough so that the solenoid on the fuel pump would let it start..

Trip start/end. 229 miles in 3hrs 29 mins is not too bad going with 64bhp.

Here's a link to the data for the car- 45L tank and weighs just over a tonne

The price certainly is right. You use Fed Reserve fiat in Scotland, not Euros?

RunningStrong's point could be addressed with underbody mods and a boattail.
