A bent generator is the way to go if you are using it to power your TV.

That way you are in a nice, relaxed position.

I tried a recumbent exercise bike a few years ago in a friends living room. It was no problem pedaling for and entire sitcom.

A combination Lazy-Boy/recumbent generator would be perfect.
