Precharge completion indicator (help request)

im not really that good with semi complex circuitry, but im trying to find a way to make an LED light up after the precharge of the controller is complete. sort of like how the light comes on after you charge up the flash in a disposable camera.

any ideas????

If you pack voltage is around the breakdown voltage of an LED or some multiple thereof you could simply wire the LED circuit straight off the cap, remember though this is rather difficult since most controllers are sealed.

Measure current and wait for it to go below a certain value.

It might help a little if you said what controller you are using.
