My welder is the same as yours, just a different brand. You plan on welding some 1" plate? Your welder should be good up to 1/4"... any thicker and you just do a multipass.

So what is this next thing?

So, I'm thinking about mounting the cable to hydro adapter, and this seems to be a good place, but I'm a little wary. Unfortunately there are no open bolt holes I can use, so I was thinking of drilling and tapping two holes and just bolting it right there. About halfway through the drilling I started to doubt my plan however.

Anyone have better ideas?

Timeline back past the 1st yet? I'm pretty sure I'm back that far. Have work piling up and the holidays/ ordering/ waiting on parts.

I'd like to see what the progress looks like at this point. Pictures? Sure many others would like to see as well. Happy Holidays!

You'll get some pictures tonight. It always seems like not enough is changing to me so I hesitate to take them

Anyway, gonna work on a battery box now.

I usually just take tons and only use about 1/4 of what I take, that way I have it covered. Plus, you normally can't go back and get pictures of something half done.

Me too, tons of pictures, it ends up being like a movie when you look through them in sequence.

It's just troublesome having your flow interrupted by pictures sometimes, so I forget about them completely. But, I'm making a better effort.

Okay, so I've got some pictures and some updates and some more whining. I'll just go in the order that I dig up the photos.

Of all the things I've worked on recently, the only thing I can say I really "finished" would be the exhaust. Basically, I realized I couldn't making the crazy S-bend so I cut off the annoying bit and just ran a pipe back. The weld the further back isn't very good, I'm just hoping there's not leaking. Also, I welded in an O2 bung to relocated the second 02 about 6 inches down from the original, which was in the way of the crossmember.

This is just a boring shot of the swapped knuckle, which isn't done finally because I need to lengthen the axle on this side. So, in a few days I'll have to chop that axle, install both sides, load the suspension, see how much gap there is (probably less than an inch), then weld a sleeve on. Not the solution I would've liked, but o well.

The driver's side mount is on upside down, which is causing the engine to sag a good bit. I'll have to pop this out and have someone press it out and flip it for me. Shouldn't be too hard to fix this one whenever I get around to it.

This is the clutch adapter, showing basically how it works. Unfortunately I didn't manage to get this mounted up right today. Humbug.

Thoughts on these flares? The damn thing was giving me trouble, but they look good enough. I cut these off anyway since I kept changing my mind about the hardline, so it's not the finished product. Just curious.

I'm either going to mount the battery or the clutch here. Probably the battery if I can find a better spot for the clutch. You can see the two fresh holes I drilled during my plan to mount the clutch which failed.

This is the other spot for a possible battery mount. Don't like it though.

I would just shell out for a sealed battery and stick it in the back but I'm broke and can't afford it, so that's too bad. I'll figure that out one way or another. Right now I think it'd be prudent to make a checklist of things so I don't forget, so I'll probably do that eventually or else I might forget to tighten something down or put oil in the transmission or something bad like that.
