Ben said driving the car was somewhat "crazy". Didn't elaborate before disappearing this morning.

Bah, got a parking ticket on campus! I'll need to weasel my way out of that before anything else happens.
Can anyone recommend a car cover for a CRX?

What's the problem? The car has a complete exterior, and valid plates, right?
The Economy universal car cover, size Small, that I bought at Advance, fits an Insight whether it has a front bumper or not. Dunno about a boattail yet.

Here's a good question for you, Roberto:
My fuel gauge (sorta), rpms, and dash indicators work, but the speedo, temp, and IMA do not. I know the SGII is getting this data from somewhere, but the cluster isn't. Thoughts? Grounding issue? Something else? I'm mega confused.

Huh. That's a good question. The SG gets its data from the ECU, and so does the gauge cluster for the most part. I bet one of the two wire harnesses entering the cluster is loose or damaged.
Check out the diagram on p 22-62. Bad grounds would disable all gauges equally. The gauge cluster CPU is supposed to receive vehicle speed data on wire A19, but if it doesn't, I'd expect a blank speedo and no mpg display. Similar story with coolant temp, which must be transmitted on one of the five wires labeled "ECM".
As to your IMA gauges, that's because your IMA has fatal trouble codes. Right?
Is there a chance you damaged traces on the gauge cluster while transporting, storing, and installing it? Unrelated: Do the relevant LCDs light up during the lamp test?
Hmm, that circuit diagram gives me an idea. One of those wires feeds the gauge cluster instantaneous fuel consumption data, and hopefully at a high sample rate. If I do a permanently installed DAQ in the Insight, that's a channel I definitely want to log.
