Question about full front air block

I know that the idea is to get a teardrop shape, but I am having a bit of a problem with my air dam. I have an indent on my front bumper for the license plate and it causes the air dam to curve in a little bit, almost like a dent.

What would be the consequences of having it be like that? I mean would it hurt more than help.... ?

The ideal air dam is on the left, and (almost) mine is on the right... (overhead view)

It's prolly not that bad since air will just form a high pressure pocket there, right smarties?

That's what I'm hoping, but with the MPG contest, I am nervous to test it....

dent

I'm with SVOboy on this one,and the flat area may augment the stagnation pressure in a positive way, which would be even more important with the blocking as you've pictured.

Well, it's official. Rex was participating in "No-shave November" and now he has a full moustache...

Rex wins Novembeard!

If you decide to eliminate the license plate dent, just put some washers between the bumper and air dam.
