Hey Trik-

It's a combined effort.

I have to rent cars for my job, so I find ones that might be of interest to the site and choose them from the lineup. Then, I drive them as normal and report the results.

Here's my job in a nutshell...

I work for Quintiles, Inc. as a Pharmaceutical Research Auditor (Monitor/CRA). We're hired by drug companies to manage the approval process for new drugs (which takes an average of 10 years). I am assigned a drug study for about 2-years at a time. Doctors across the world treat patients according to the FDA rules and regulations, on an experimental basis. See Clinical Trials.

Every 6 weeks, I visit my assigned sites (Doctor's offices) and verify standardized data collection, patient rights, side effects, study drug count, etc. until the study is closed and the data is analyzed. If the results are good, the FDA gets a full presentation for approval/rejection. After approval and marketing kicks-in, your doctor can now prescribe the drug. That's basically the simplified version of drug development

I rent cars as company policy for insurance purposes locally and in the region, and if I have to fly to my destination, I pick one up at the airport (they don't want to be responsible for Teggy )

I can honestly say that I really like my job and the people I work with. There's always something different and it's interesting. I'm not stuck in a cubicle and hit the open road. I'm home-based unless I travel, then I'm not at home
