Quiet T-shots coming to golf course near you?

I was having lunch at an Italian restaurant the other day at work. It's an informal place. They had a big-screen TV,and ESPN was on.
An ad came on for Calloway golf clubs.
They have a new Diablo Octane driver with vortex-generators where you might expect VGs to be located.
I'd joked a few months ago to my friend John Gilkison, who follows the PGA Tour, that at some point, club makers would wake up and smell the coffee,as far as drag was concerned. If you've ever swung a club, you've' heard' the turbulent wake behind the club head on every T-shot.
Can full-boat-tailed clubs be far behind? Turf-hackers are insane about gaining a few extra yards towards the green. We've already got dimple-induced Reynolds effects on the balls.
It will be fun if auto makers have to follow golf club manufacturers into low drag forms.Funny world!

A teardrop profiled shaft would also help the aerodynamics and reduce noise.
