Dear Harris Cyclery friends and customers,
It is with heavy hearts that we convey to you the news that Sheldon Brown has passed away. Our thoughts go out to his family at this time. The cycling community has lost one of it's most passionate members.

I knew he was suffering from Multiple Sclerosis, but damn.

Oh wow... I had just started reading his website this past summer. There is an incredible wealth of information there. It's sad to see that he has passed away. He's definitely someone one wishes to have known in real life.
