Can you recommend a timer for an electric block heater?

Recently I installed an electric engine block heater. When I bought a timer, it was not until I got home, opened the package, and read the following:

"Warning, risk of electric fire. Do not use to control appliances that contain heating elements such as cooking appliances, heaters, and irons." It is a Defiant "Indoor Heavy Duty Timer" from Home Depot. My car is parked in a garage. Thank you.

It should be fine. As long as the block heater you have doesn't exceed 1,100w.

That's the one I use. It's rated for 3 times the wattage of my block heater, so I have no worries whatsoever.

I have used one like that, if not the very same one.

Never had a problem with my cheap one I bought that is "analog" and ticks the dial down, then hits the tabs you put for the time and pops the button to give it juice! That's with block heater and 2 pads on one car, or block heater, pad, and 12v trickle on another.

The risk of fire refers to unattended electric heaters setting next to something flammable (newspaper, drapes, furniture, etc).
