Rear wheel skirts bracket need help.

I have been wanting to make some wheel skirts but I want to make a bracket to keep it out off the wheels. I have made a cardboard mock up once that I had it bow so it would not touch the wheels. But when I make them out of coraplast I want a ridge frame for support.

Does anyone have any helpful tips or a design?
Anything wild help. I like the way the white civic has his skirts supported.

If you put a 1/8"-5/32" steel rod inside the Coroplast corrugation "tube", you can then bow it.

Ok where do I pick some of that up at?
And how would I attach that to my car?

I got mine at my local hardware store. If you extend it out of the Coroplast, then you could bend it and attach it to the clips. I used tape to hold my wheel skirts on, so the metal rod is inside and does not stick out. It works very well for what you are asking for -- bowing the Coroplast.
