Removing decals?

As most have seen, I just picked up a Prius. On the back, the dealer of course had to slap his decal on. I don't like it and want it off. Chalk it up as a weight reduction if you want to. I just don't like it. So, what is the best way to remove a decal?

Warm it with a hair dryer, or let it warm up in the sun (with the careful help of mirrors or lenses) if you don't want to use electricity. Then try to 'floss' it with fishing line. I'm thinking of doing the same with a few decals I have, and that is the answer I got when asking around.

"Flossing" works on foam-adhered badges, but it won't work well on a decal.

If a hairdryer doesn't do the trick, get some General Purpose Adhesive Cleaner #051135-08984 from an auto body supply shop -- it will dissolve the glue without harming the paint. It's a great solvent for working around the car, so you'll find other uses for it as well.

Heat + plastic paint scraper and maybe some solvent.

Heat is the trick and then a good fingernail will work it off without damage. After it's removed, buff it.

if it's one of those thick plastic ones, just peel it off with fishing line or something, then use goo gone and a cloth to remove the remaining stuff.

if it's a normal decal, you can buy a rubber wheel that goes on a drill and will be amazingly effective at removing it. Goo gone for the remainder.

Some polish and wax after and it'll probably disappear.

I JUST posted a post like yesterday, of me removing all the badges on my car, I sprayed it with goo gone, let it sit for a few seconds and got some thread and flossed all of them off, really easy... Better aerodynamics, Less weight, More Style was my post

Eucalyptus oil is another eco friendly oil which happens to be great for removing glue residue from decals etc.

Sand-blaster! I hear the rough surface will make the paint like a golf ball and therefore more aerodynamical!
