Nice to have all those issues sorted out.

How's the job? Share some exciting stories about the automotive design world!

Also: doesn't your stripped interior drive you nuts? I've never gone that far, after hearing several stories about the noise being unbearable.

Feels good to have a working car, although there are always a few nagging issues, like the rattle in the exhaust resonator. So far the exhaust noise isn't that bad, but I haven't been on the freeway. It's definitely worse with the windows up, and when the exhaust braps (2500-3500rpm). I'm planning on bringing ear plugs on the trip just in case.

The job is going well! You wouldn't believe what I see! Haha it's awesome. Kind of the odd man out because I bike to work (only about three-four people in the design center do it on a given day), but hey. It's bad for engines to run for 3 miles and shut off anyway.

Would it be possible to grind down the "normal" cam lobes on a VTEC head but keep the higher up ones, so it would have near-VX fuel economy on the freeway but still 125+ bhp in the higher rev range? And how hard would it be to lower the VTEC changeover point to, say, 3500rpm?

I seem to remember someone doing something similar but don't know where the thread was, or how much I'd be able to understand. I will talk to some Honda guys around here at some point and see what they have to say.

Alignment done and it feels good. Windshield guy coming on Friday. I have to throw the air dam on and it will be ready. Also remove rally lights!

No need to remove the rally headlights, just create small boat tails for them

I'm stuck at a shell service station in Sawyer, MI because the header to downpipe bolts and gasket fell out. It's an open header right now. I have to wait and see if they can fix it. I don't know what else to do...

How did they fall out? The good news is that the gasket shouldn't be expensive and the bolts should be cheap too.

The gasket blew out and bolts apparently rattled themselves loose. It's a cheap eBay exhaust so no replacement gaskets are to be found. They custom cut a new one and are installing it now...

Well, I lost three hours but it's working so whatever. Got from Warren Michigan to the middle of Wisconsin on one tank of gas too so that's cool.
