Civic EX to HX

I had a CRX HF to VX swap for the past year. Someone crashed into me. I got a great deal on a 2001 civic ex thats needs engine. Can somebody explain to me exactly how the lean burn works on this years HX. From what I understand from the searching I have been doing this year doesn't use a wideband LAF/O2 sensor. I want to put an hx engine in my car but I also don't want to bite off more than I chew either. I don't want to come across anything unforseen. Thanx
