Route fine tuning big gains.

fine tuned my route gained me between .6 and .8L / 100km. I was a bit scared to change from the route I knew so I just took a chance. mainly I always tried avoiding traffic lights. but it turns out the route with traffic lights seems to be the best as they are always all green through the 6 intersections I go through rather that the 3 stop streets on the older route where I had to stop and always quickly accelerate to make a gap. these gains are in my tucson

There is never a chance to avoid stopping at a stop sign, but stoplights can be timed to where you may never stop

Fine tuning routes is how I'm closing in on 50 mpg and Donkey CRX has gone from the 70s to the 90s. You're seeing that come into fruition. A benefit to this is that people get used to seeing you and know how your driving is. This makes for a calmer drive and less road rage.
