Scangauge to a Non OBD -II honda with adaptor, will it work?

My honda civic 1996 in the philippines has a 3 pin port instead of the OBD-II port. I saw on the ebay that there is an adaptor from 3-pin to OBD-II.

Would the scangauge work if an port adaptor is used?

I don't think the protocols are the same. You'd have to do some research to find out what protocols and what the sensors were reporting to the ECU to see if they are the same as the ODBII protocols.
