Scion iQ hybrid to be for sale in 2011

The currently available IQ is rated for 4.4 L/100km (1L gasoline, 53.5 mpg US) and 4.0 L/100km (1.4L diesel, 58.8 mpg).

The iQ may well be the EV "city" car that Toyota is saying they will sell next year-ish.

I got an email from Scion the other day -- the iQ will be available soon. It will have a 1.3L 4-cylinder and a CVT transmission and it is rated by the EPA at a measly 36/37/37MPG.

Yeah, just about as disappointing as the new Yaris numbers! Thats not to mention the $32k plugin prius price... I was looking forward to that car until I heard the price.
