How hard would it be to have the mpguino output data via the serial port, rather than with an lcd? I've spent plenty of time looking through the code, to no avail, but it's far more complicated than any thing I've written.
Actually, I came up with a tiny serial outputter that should be in the next version, It will do both though I should add an ifdef so you can hard code your defaults and skip the setup part.
