Series Motor - How Many Amps is Too Much?

I always wanted to see what was going on inside my motor as I was driving around. I made a video, and was a bit surprised by the results.

Turns out that a few amps makes quite a bit of difference. How hard do you accelerate?

In this video, there is a period of time that either the armature is 'over amped' or? Makes me wonder if there is a problem, or if it is normal for brushes to spark somewhat.

Anyways, enjoy!

looks fine to me, your brushes look long and healthy too, almost new, some arcing is normal, I've seen worse out of my motor while on the bench.
