I picked up some parts this past weekend. The biggest in both importance and size is a rear frame and leaf springs from a 2005 Ranger that are in much better shape than mine. The most “ecomoddy” is a set of four 16x7 Ford Explorer wheels. These are the three spoke steel ones with a polished stainless steel appliqué glued to the front and fist-like chromed center caps. They are, in my opinion, the ugliest wheel that ever came on those trucks, and also exactly what I was looking for. I will be running Moon discs, but I’ve heard from many that the snap-in style can fall off a bit too easily, a real concern with the plentiful potholes of New England. I know I also don’t want to use the old screw-on style, as I dislike that both styles are cumbersome to remove for something so simple and necessary as checking/filling tires. I’ve read that the Dzus-fastened ones hold up well, so I ordered a pair of them. They require the welding of three mounting tabs to each rim. The ugly three-spokes are perfect candidates!

I am driving a BMW X5 2014 , mileage (under) 60,000 miles. That's a very new experience with this SUV.
