Withdrawal symptoms!

First " Proper" day of a weeks holiday today...

and I've not driven at all today.

been months since I've had a completely car free day.

bit odd after the high that was the run yesterday, did over 250 miles on stunning roads in the 328i..

now I've not even turned a wheel in the golf today.

very odd!

Back when I was taking my flying lessons and then after getting my pilot's license and going to rent a plane once in awhile, I'd walk in and the instructor would ask me if I was "ground sick" yet. (what happens to pilots who haven't flown recently enough).

Maybe that's another type of "driving withdrawal".

I was thinking: on this 2-month stay I've had on the wet coast of Canada, last month saw the least amount of driving I've done since I got my license. In December, I only drove once.

January has been a different story, about ~580 km / 360 mi.

Strange feeling for sure. It is nice to be able to do all you need to do on foot & by bike though.

I've gone for several weeks without causing a spark plug to spark. I walk and bike everywhere. After a stretch of that it feels weird to get in the car and drive- I almost feel guilty!

I get “Officestafobic” when in the office on a nice day, as I KNOW there are some
Awesome roads out there waiting to be driven.. Maybe I should take up flying for some more fun!

I do 320 a week for work, last week was 590 on the golf, and another 250 on the 328i

Luckily we can walk to the supermarket etc, and I’m looking at getting a bike for exercise

Alas, I work 32 miles from home, with no usable and cheap public transport between locations..
I do car share 2 days a week though
plus, I LOVE driving!
