Solar EV spotted in Lacey, WA

My wife spotted a solar EV heading down Ruddell Road in Lacey, WA this morning! Wish I coulda seen it
I had no idea someone local owned one. Anyone know who or what org owns it or any other info? I'd love to see it up close.

PS Sorry, no pics

PSS I told her I want one for my b-day

It sounds like Washington state is the place to be for electrics (outside of California)

There are a lot of communities that have EV charging stations popping up all over.

And right in front of the Lacey Timberland Regional Library! I had someone kicked out of that spot the other day cause they were in a gas car! hahaha! It was fun. The guy was really old, and he looked confused when he was going out to his car. I felt sort of bad.

Daveedo - I think you saw the "Xof1" solar car. http://xof1.com/

He's based in Toronto, but has been hanging around the US west coast recently after doing a record-setting (for distance, I think) trip to the Arctic Circle this summer.

News Update shows all the Lacey action

Good find! That's most likely the one. I'll show it to my wife to confirm later. She said there was a "support" vehicle following it closely which would likely be unnecessary if it was a local vehicle.

and heres an article about it that I somehow missed...ohwait...its cause I don't get that particular paper

Thumbs up

Oh, MAN! The video on the home page is a classic! Have you all seen it?

Also, check on the videos page, on the testing link, where they drag race the small car that was filming them. It could out-drag them until they got into third!

It's a good thing I'm not rich: I'd be driving around like a dang fool in one of those, myself. Lights/turn signals/more comfy seating/steering wheel/KILLER solar array/whole 9 yards...

Oh, man!! I'll be glad when the Aptera goes nationwide!!!

HURRY UP, APTERA

FYI: There was also a charging station in front of the eastside Ralph's Thriftway, maybe also the Bayview Thriftway.

According to comments on the EVDL,

This car,

was out there too.

See the photo album at:
Picasa Web Albums - lektwik - Dave's Stream...

Here's the comment from the EVDL
( for those who have NOT yet seen it..)
Picasa Web Albums - lektwik - Dave's Stream...

He drove it over 75 miles on USED Batteries, from Woodinville Wa. to
Lacy Washington last week end for an Electrathon Race. (something close
to 170 watt hours per mile...)

Of course his Electrathon cars came in 1st, and 2nd !! as usual....
