Question Spark Plugs

Alright, so I have spark plugs for a 1991 Crx but I ended up not needing them. Now my 1994 civic needs plugs, can I use the ones from the crx on my civic? Are they compatible?

Thanks for any help.

my '97 Del Sol had a label under the hood with Info on the A/C, emissions, and spark plug size, I would assume your civic would have it too.

NOTE: by spark plug size I'm talking about thread size and the gap

i would say check online for the plug specs for that particular engine, and see if they match the plugs that you have.

They need to have the same thread size, reach, heat range and some have variations that you need to match up.
Your Civic EX takes NGK plug number ZFR5J-11

Your CRX HF takes NGK plug number BCPR5E-11

http://www.ngksparkplugs.com/techinf...tnumberkey.pdf

Judging from that plug number decoding... they will not work well even if they did fit.

If you can't find the specs on the car, either due to age or just not there, there is usually manuals available online. A lot of people lose those manuals or spec sheets. You should be able to find it very easily. Have you thought about looking at www.acdcind.com for additional info?

RockAuto Auto Parts

It will do a reverse lookup on any part and tell you which other cars it fits. Plus they are usually the cheapest for parts.

I just ordered some NGK platnums off sparkplugs.com for less than $20 for 4 including shipping. Hard to beat that for heigh quality plugs like those. The site shows you virtually evey plug you can buy for your particular car.
