basjoosed

If you drop the Cd0.25 to 0.17,at 55mph,your mpg will go up 16%.

A quick way to estimate your car's mpg aeromodding potential is to go out with a friend and close draft their car at various speeds while noting your mileage, as this will be the mileage that your car's engine-transmission-tire combo will be getting when you reduce the aero load on your car. Then you can decide whether the mileage improvement you can potentially get is worth the effort of doing the aeromods.

I think the insight has better potential in that it is more CRX like in shape and not as tall as the civic hatchback. Basjoos is also running the DX engine and there is more to be gained if you explore using a VX or HX lean burn engine.

The Insight is next of kin to the CRX HF but notice the Insight tapers at the end for better aerodynamics

My current car on the left - a near identical car to the 88 CRX HF I had for 250,000 miles.
