2001 Insight - needs battery - Insight Central: Honda Insight Forum

It's high mileage and has a dead HV battery, but it's priced accordingly - $1750.

I was tempted to buy this, refurbish the battery myself, and flip it for a tidy $1k profit. But then I did the math on flying to Indy, titling the car, and putting it up for sale, and I quickly lost interest.

Oh wow! $1750 is EV donor car territory too.

It'd make an awesome sub/urban runabout. Lightweight and aerodynamic. A modest capacity 72v lithium pack would be fantastic and not break the bank...
