Summing up 2012

Best trip: 60.1mpg.
Best tank: 44.7mpg.
Year average: 36.8mpg.
December tank: 34.93mpg.
# of fillups: 9!
Fuel used: 100 gallons.

This totally destroys the previous numbers. For example, last years December tank was 25.9mpg and 23.2mpg the year before that.

The downside is that i will really have to work for it in 2013.

Good idea, man. Gives a benchmark for next year(s).

Mine are a bit trickier as I had an engine/fuel swap about half way through the year.

18 fills - 8446.3 miles - 172.471 gallons gasoline - 48.97mpg
13 fills - 7521.7 miles - 125.185 gallons diesel - 60.08mpg
31 fills - 15968 miles - 297.656 gallons total - 53.65mpg total

Best tank = 81mpg with diesel/ 66 with gasoline

I can't measure instant mileage on the diesel, yet, but my best trip to work with the gas engine was 134mpg over a 23 mile trip.

Like you said, next year might be a little tough.

2012 average for Baa: 39.7 mpg

Final 3 tank average: 43.42 mpg

Best tank: 44.35 mpg

Miles covered: 19,518
Gallons used: 491.6

I only owned Baa for 6 weeks in 2011, the real comparison will come this time next year.
