taller new tires?

I'm going to be getting new tires soon and was wondering if anyone had any input on getting taller tires. The stock size is 195/60R15, but the previous owner had 195/65R15 put on the car. The tread is almost gone so it's time to get new ones. I planned on the getting LRR tires but I'm wondering if I should go with the stock size or go to next size up which is currently on the car.

On the tires I'm looking at, its a difference of 27 revs per mile. I guess there is no reason not to go to taller tires, I'm just checking with the fuel economy experts on here.

My car is a 2000 Ford Focus ZX3.

I went with 2 inch taller tires that were nearly 20 pounds heavier with my suburban and could detect no loss in fuel economy.
I say go big.
The skinnier smaller tire fad has not delivered.

As we allow know, the larger diameter tire will reduce rpm at cruising speed. Weight differ should be negligible. I would make sure you stay at the same width so you don't increase friction, get a LRR tire like the Ecopia EP100/Ep422, Energy Saver A/S, dB Super E-Spec or Nokian i3, etc. and ensure you register the speedometer difference so you don't mistake a mpg due to traveling slower/faster than you think you are.

Go with the taller tires for MPG, 205/75R15 or /70, 44 psi, if they clear suspension. For lower RR and snow use 185/65R15. Same OD as stock tire.
