Taxi 'spoiler' ?

How does something like this affect the aerodynamics of this taxi ?
I would think that it would have an effect by channeling the air that is turbulent into a smaller wake.
( That is at least, if it were angled correctly and spanned the entire trunk of the car. )

As it is on the car in the image, I would speculate that it is almost useless.

What's your guess ?

Would depend on the wake of the car, but I can't imagine it being good, even if it isn't in the way.

at the speed i've seen most taxi's drive (at least in big cities like NYC), it would not be a factor.

I think it would channel air into the wake, however,I also think flow would separate at the top and sides, creating a relatively horrendous wake behind the sign.At urban speeds,as already mentioned by others, its probably a wash. But if road construction near the airport is complete now,and the taxi can actually drive at highway speed, say, all the way into city center,or out to MOPAC ,I'd say it's an energy loser. If the Austin Aztecs had any respect for their neighbors, countrymen,or Earth, they wouldn't do that.Disapproving head shake.
