Tesla built 2400 Model 3s in the entire 4th quarter of 2017, and sold most of them to employees.

Quote:
In July, Mr. Musk predicted that Tesla would be able to make 20,000 Model 3s a month by December. But in the past three months, it has built only 2,425.

To be fair, the CEO is juggling 5-7 balls at once.

He's already obsoleted the Falcon Heavy before it's ever flown.

The launch is scheduled for 8-10pm EST. It should bring us one step closer to a Roadster in orbit around Mars.

Maybe he'll be able to get back to shooting sleds with Teslas on them through tunnels. And carhops on roller skates at the Supercharger stations.

The second stage separated and the first stage stuck the landing.

Now we'll see what that payload can do. Remember how recently there was talk about N. Korea could explode one nuke over Kansas and cripple the US power grid? What if you could do it without a nuke?

actually that much mass at re-entry speed equals a small nuke payload as long as it doesn't burn up or explode

I'm leaning that way from EMP.

Larry Niven's "rods from God" are now OWLS [Orbital Weapons Launching Platform].

BTW: How often does your location change?

Liked your location thought I could be similair. Therefore once so far.
I think it is accurate.

Sorry no EMP on dead weights. Not enough kinetic energy

No, but there will be a thermal contribution as well. I don't know the materials science, but tungsten won't ablate. Depending on the thermal conductivity it would be like a molten slug of anything else.
