Thanks for asking but red-tagged out

Thanks for the e-mail, but I bought an emergency computer after losing everything. Unsafe building- very questionable, but all chained up. Stuck in motel since March. I cannot share photos or vehicles, since I have only the unmodified Ford Probe with no papers/registration.

Life is what happens while you make other plans, and after a few years; my game blew up! (But I can still lurk ecomodder!)

Bummer, Chris. When I went homeless on the left coast, I put gas in the tank of my shelter and found a place where the price of houses started at $1,500. The people are friendlier, and locks are seldom needed. You've had a charmed life, but the well is dry in CA, from what I hear.

Just cuz 8,000,000,000 (est.) arrive yearly doesn't mean the well is dry does it? :tears:

After housing bubble and dot.com explosions in about 2005; CA. was having problems, but only in waves. I was just stunned to get the order to get out in 20 minutes. I was so pleased to get that e-mail from ecomodder noticing that I was not posting.

I had the '91 Probe, clothes I had on, and a travel suitcase. One by one, some things are returning. A used computer was the first thing I bought- something about priorities! The E-Pod was in the shop being repaired for broken spokes (you do not "hot-rod" an E-Pod... ) and now I learned it was upgraded (beefed up controller and beefed up spokes) and ready to pick up.

The Aspire gave up with no use, so all it took was a jump and it is back in use. I also got many tools and items out of that building. I signed a waiver to get in my condo to get things out yesterday.

Very questionable way of handling this. A veterans building downtown Santa Cruz was also red-tagged in January. Many vets are furious! But they are chained out permanently, while I get brief visits to get things out. Strange!

What is this red-tagging about? Buildings seriously not up to code, or does it have to do with the quakes I've been hearing about in the news?

We don't feel the platial quakes up here in Ohio, only the financial ones.

Unsafe building- we had 4 articles in several newspapers- each was claiming a sagging roof. Right. Sure. This is a fire-safe concrete slab building. Concrete over 1 foot wide does not sag! It splits and cracks, and paint would crack and fall off.

Not a crack. Painted 5+ years ago. Something is very fishy, but since it does not drive or have wheels- I cannot claim it on my vehicle insurance!
