thinking about going back to making biodiesel: is there competition over oil yet?

hi

i used to make bio but stopped when i didn't need to drive as much miles. now i am driving a lot again i'm thinking about buying a diesel again and SVO conversion.

is there competition over the oil? when i did it 3 years ago it was still unheard of and getting oil was easy! is that still the case?

Depends on your area. Some places have so much competition that theyre selling it now, and its getting stolen. Other places still have worlds of it that they have to pay to get rid of. Youd just have to check around locally and see what the story is.

Your could always try one of the alternatives like algae biodiesel, that way you wouldn't have the competition

I ran into a guy that collects it for a living recently. Had a 20 foot trailer with several tanks on it, and he said that theft is getting to be a huge problem and the competition is fierce. Like Wagonman says, depends on the area.
