If this brings back NUMMI, I will sing their praises (and cross my fingers) :

The revival of NUMMI, for 25 years a joint venture between Toyota and the former General Motors Corp., will create 1,000 jobs, California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger said. The plant [Fremont, California] closed in April.

They're bringing NUMMI back to life without GM. Lets hope they have the brass balls to keep the UAW leaches out.

Daimler owns 10% of Tesla already. Rumor has it that Toyota will be also using the plant to build a "city" sized EV -- maybe an iQ EV? That would be cool...
