The truth will be in the tank mpg data. You have some open spots in your tail that might be hurting you, however, the panels that are there seem to be placed well. Its hard to tell. Let the experimenting begin.

I drove to a an outside beach movie tonight (just got bacK), and I think it coasts longer. I've been making .5+ mile glides much more frequently now and sure seems like I keep my speed longer. That gradual "slowing down feeling" (negative g force?) is much smaller.

Pictures tomorrow, maybe. I might even add more.
Sulfuric,it may be until you can get the whole tail enclosed that you see your best results.

Well, I know that the lowest drag would be a boat tail with no holes in it. However, that's quite hard to do without some rewiring and/or moving the license plate. I'm trying to keep my tail lights where they are and keep my plate where it is too. Plexiglass/polycarbonate can only bend so far, and I also need to use the trunk, so I can't fully enclose it. There has to be a joint somewhere that I can unhinge.

On a separate note, I went to a u-pull-it junkyard and found myself an (almost) matching hubcap, and then I spray painted them both black, and put them on the front two wheels. They look really cool in black, and it should decrease my front tire area drag a bit.
