I froze the crash scene in 'The World's Fastest Indian' to photograph the plan view of Burt Munro's 1920 Indian Scout streamliner LSR bike of the 1960s.
Then I compared it to the 'trout' in Sir George Cayley's Notebook of 1800.
The nose and tails are virtually identical when viewed in plan.
Burt's bike is just stretched a bit, with a constant-velocity section in the middle, making its overall length a bit greater.
What's old is new again!
Lousy movie. They barely showed any scenes of the bike, and the main thing I remember from it was that he was a slob that urinated on his trees and burnt his lawn so he wouldn't have to mow it.
